- Garden Club of Madison meetings take place on the second Tuesday of most months.
- All meetings are held at First Congregational Church Hall, Meetinghouse Lane, Madison, CT.
- At the monthly meetings, GCM members are educated in gardening, horticulture, floral design, landscape design and environmental issues.
- For the 2017-2018 membership year, the Garden Club of Madison is trying something new !
- Morning meetings will take place at 11:30 a.m.
- Evening meetings held at 6:00 p.m.!
- The Holiday Greens Workshop meets at 10:30 a.m.
- Meetings will not be held in January and February in 2018.

Carol King Platt is a former contributing editor at House and Garden. For 23 years she wrote a weekly garden column for the New London Day. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, Traditional Home and Better Homes and Gardens. Carol lectures regularly about garden design and flower arranging and designs gardens throughout Connecticut New York and Rhode Island. She is past chair of the Landscape Design Council of Connecticut and is a member of the Connecticut Unit of the Herb Society of American and the Wallingford Garden Club.

Nancy DuBrule-Clemente is the owner, since 1983, of Natureworks Horticultural Services, and organic garden center, landscape design, consultation, installation and maintenance service in Northford, CT. Education is the primary focus of Natureworks. Nancy graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Floriculture. She is the former member and past president of NOFA/CT. Nancy si co-author of A Country Garden for your Backyard and author of Succession of Bloom in the Perennial Garden

Carolyn Bernard and Lois Nichols bring their expertise and unlimited enthusiasm to this meeting. It is bound to be a terrific meeting with these two accredited judges who will share their knowledge of design and horticulture.
Carolyn has been a club member for 11 years and has won top honors at the Hartford Flower Show and at the Newport Flower Show.
Lois has been a member for 17 years and has won many times at the Hartford Flower Show. Many of her designs have made the Vision of Beauty calendar.

Green Workshop & Centerpiece Sale
This workshop really is loads of fun! Wear your best holiday sweater! Holiday music fills the air while club members create masterpieces for their holiday tables. Tables are set up, greens are available for centerpiece and wreath projects. Trimming products are available for a price.

"Grow your own Meadow, Large or Small"
Kathy Connolly, a landscape designer who has developed meadows and naturalized plantings has also had 20 years of personal experience as the owner of a well-established half acre meadow. She has a master's degree in landscape design and is an advanced master gardener and an accredited Organic Land Care Specialist.
Kathy writes the Green and Growing column for The Day and other papers in southeastern CT.

She has been featured speaker at botanical gardens, arboretums, horticultural societies, garden clubs, flower shows, Master Gardener Conferences and professional organizations throughout the US and Canada. Kerry Ann is a member of the Garden Writers Association of America. She authors a monthly newsletter, a blog and hosts regular Webinars. In additional, Kerry is author of several books including The Right Size Flower Garden.
